02What we collect

  • Customer details: name, email, phone, delivery and billing addresses, account login, and order and return history.
  • Vehicle details: the make, model and year you search for, and details you give us for fitment or warranty questions (such as a VIN or photos).
  • Dealer and agent applications: business name, ABN or tax number, country, business type, expected volumes, and your contact details.
  • Payments: processed by Airwallex. We receive the payment status and limited details such as the card type, but never your full card number.
  • Website use: pages viewed, products viewed or added to cart, search terms, the website or campaign that referred you, device and browser type, and approximate location (country) derived from your IP address.
  • Correspondence: emails and messages you send us.

03How we use it

  • To take, process, deliver and support your orders, returns and warranty claims.
  • To check orders and payments for fraud and misuse.
  • To run the dealer and agent programme, including pricing, order requests and invoices.
  • To answer your questions and keep you informed about your orders.
  • To understand how the website is used and to improve our products, website and service, including measuring our advertising.
  • To send you news and offers about Barbaro Racing products, where the law allows. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records, and to protect our legal rights.

For people in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business; your consent for analytics and advertising cookies and for marketing where consent is required; and compliance with legal obligations.

04Cookies, analytics and advertising

  • Essential cookies keep your cart, login and settings working. The site cannot work without them.
  • Our own traffic statistics are counted without cookies: we use an anonymised daily identifier and do not store your IP address.
  • Google Analytics (analytics) and the Meta Pixel (advertising measurement and audiences on Facebook and Instagram) set cookies and share browsing events with Google and Meta.
  • Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics and advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time: .
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, and limit ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.

05Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed with:

  • Airwallex, to process payments;
  • Xcotton, if you add Shipping Protection: your name, email, phone, delivery address, the items in your order and tracking details, so it can provide the cover, contact you and handle claims;
  • couriers and logistics partners, to deliver orders and handle returns;
  • our manufacturing and logistics partners, including in China, where needed to fulfil dealer and agent orders shipped from the factory;
  • technology providers that host and run our services: Amazon Web Services (our store and database, hosted in Sydney, Australia), Cloudflare (website delivery and security), our website host, and our email providers;
  • Google and Meta, for analytics and advertising as described above;
  • professional advisers, insurers, and authorities where the law requires or permits it;
  • a buyer or successor if all or part of our business is sold or restructured.

We do not sell your personal information. We may use aggregated or de-identified information, which does not identify you, for any business purpose.

06Overseas transfers

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, the European Union, Singapore and China. Where we transfer information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses used by our providers.

07How long we keep it

  • Orders, invoices and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally 5 to 7 years).
  • Accounts: until you ask us to close them, plus that record-keeping period for past orders.
  • Dealer and agent applications that are not approved: up to 24 months after our decision.
  • Website statistics: up to 13 months.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls and payment processing by a PCI-compliant provider. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.

09Your choices and rights

  • You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and information, except what we must keep by law or need for an open order, warranty claim or dispute.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
  • In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity and will reply within 30 days.

10Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, your local data protection authority.

11Children and changes

Our website and products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. We may update this policy by publishing a new version on this page; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
